The King Tides Audio Project is a work in progress that will result in a series of narratives built around oral interviews with people who live or work in Portland and regularly witness flooding that occurs on the peninsula. The story of Al Brule, hitch mechanic who has worked at U-Haul on Marginal Way for over 25 years, describes his response to the rising tides near his workplace.

The interview was conducted by Caroline Losneck who asked the following questions as part of the interview process: How, if at all, do rising tides already impact your life? What specific events have you witnessed? How does water or rising water in the future impact your work? What is your vision of the future of our city?
